Consumers have reported that their TVs displayed a black screen or other problems after a firmware update. Consumers have reported that their TV displayed a black or frozen screen, showed thick horizontal lines, was stuck on an update loop, started flashing or glitching, or just stopped working altogether, commonly called “bricking.”
