VA Hospital Wait List Investigation
Investigating cases on behalf of U.S. veterans and their families that VA hospitals may have illegally neglected to timely provide necessary medical care to veterans.  As a result this may have led to serious  injury or death. Federal regulations require that VA hospitals enter all new patients into a nationwide wait system database.  This database is supposed to make sure that all veterans receive timely care.  It has been alleged that the Phoenix VA hospital created a scheme where patients were not entered into this database.  A “secret” database was maintained which manually kept records of veterans who did not receive timely medical attention.  These records were simply discarded and never entered into the database.  This allowed the Phoenix VA hospital to inflate their treatment statistics in the national database to reflect shorter overall wait times at the facility.  One military veteran who claimed that his now-terminal cancer would have been curable had the Veterans Affairs hospital in Phoenix diagnosed it sooner was recently awarded $2.5 million.  If you or someone you know has failed to receive timely medical care from a VA hospital, please contact us.
