Trupanion Pet Insurance Class Action

Investigating a class action lawsuit against American Pet Insurance, Co., a provider of pet insurance in all 50 states. Recently, the Washington State Insurance Commissioner fined the company, which sells policies under the name Trupanion, for hundreds of violations of state insurance law. Trupanion’s website states it insures over 275,000 pets in North America as of November 2015. Violations ranged from issues of internal company policy, such as neglecting to track and report consumer complaints, and unfair practices with consumers, including failure to cancel policies when pets passed away.
