A class action lawsuit is pending against Sears for faulty manufacturing of its Kenmore clothes dryers. At issue is the lint screen which does not completely insert in the slot. Therefore, there is a gap between the protruding lint screen and the slot where it is supposed to fit into. It is alleged during the dryer cycle that clothing can get caught in the gap and become ripped and destroyed. The accumulation of lint can also cause a fire. If you own a Kenmore dryer and have experienced issues with an ill-fitting lint screen damaging clothes, please contact us.
