Heritage College Class Action
Investigating a class action lawsuit on behalf of former employees and students of Weston Educational, which operated Heritage Institute, Heritage College, and Missouri College. On November 1, the corporation said it would cease operation of its for-profit vocational schools, citing “severe financial problems.” Prior to its closure, Weston operated ten Heritage College’s across eight states. According to federal law, an employer is required to give 60-days’ notice before laying off at least fifty employees. Former employees are claiming that Weston did not provide notice nor pay employees for their final three weeks of work. Additionally, students were given no notice of the closure. If you were and employee or student at Heritage College, please contact us. |
