Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing (CSST) Class Action Lawsuit
Investigating a nationwide class action lawsuit on behalf of consumers of yellow jacket corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST), manufactured by Flex Metal Hose, Tru-Flex, and Pro-Flex. Although this flexible gas piping system is advertised as the superior option for natural gas delivery in residences and other structures, CSST is susceptible to catching fire if exposed to electricity, such as electrical arcing from household appliances or lighting strikes. The manufacturers of CSST have previously realized this defect and advised consumers to bond and ground the piping; however, consumers have reported electrical fires even after taking this step. It is estimated that 800 million feet of CSST is installed nationwide in homes and other residential structures, such as condominiums. If you own a residence that has CSST installed for natural gas delivery or have experienced an electrical fire caused by CSST, please contact us. |
