A class action lawsuit is pending against Chrysler for false advertising and breach of warranty as it pertains to its uConnect infotainment system available in various models of its vehicles since 2013. The uConnect system is valued at approximately $800 and offers many navigational and entertainment functions. It is alleged that the uConnect system routinely malfunctions resulting in a black screen, random changes in radio station and volume of the radio, and old maps appearing in the navigation system. It is also alleged that Chrysler is and has been aware of the problem but continues to advertise the benefits of uConnect while offering no remedy for its repair or replacement.
