Investigating a potential class action on behalf of California residents against companies who have charged an automatic renewal. The automatic renewal of subscription services has become a common practice of many companies. These companies generally renew subscribed services and charge credit card numbers on file until the customer cancels the service. Effective December 2010, California enacted an Automatic Renewal Law (“ARL”), to end the ongoing charging of consumers, without their explicit consent.
