Visa/MasterCard Liability Shift Antitrust Investigation

Investigating an antitrust class action lawsuit on behalf of merchants subjected to the Liability Shift for the assessment of MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express credit and charge card chargebacks, despite having purchased EMV-chip-compliant POS card readers and having otherwise complied with the directives of the Networks and Issuing Banks, since October 1, 2015.  While some large retailers such as Wal-Mart and Target were certified in time for the October deadline, smaller retailers who had the machines in place were told to wait an undetermined amount of time even though they were now liable for fraudulent purchases.  If you purchased your EMV-chip-compliant POS card readers prior to October 1, 2015 but nonetheless were deemed non-compliant and as a result have been held liable for chargebacks, please contact us.
