Kroger Employee Data Breach Class Action
Investigating a class action lawsuit on behalf of Kroger grocery store employees whose personal information – including names, addresses, and Social Security numbers – may have been obtained by hackers when Equifax experienced a data breach. Equifax provides W-2 forms for all Kroger employees and on May 5, Kroger emailed its employees that an unknown number of current and former employee’s personal information may have been compromised in the data breach. Through its “Work Number Service,” Equifax promised its customers it would protect the personal information they provided on their W-2 forms. The data breach has exposed the estimated 431,000 current and former Kroger employees to the risk of identity theft or fraud. If you are a current or former Kroger employee who used Equifax’s W-2 services, please contact us. |
