Green Coffee Extract Weight Loss Class Action Investigation

Investigating a class action against Applied Food Sciences for misleading consumers for claims supporting the weight-loss powers of its green coffee extract product.  Applied Food Sciences recently agreed to a $3.5 million settlement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).  The FTC determined that its claims were based on a study that was “so hopelessly flawed that no reliable conclusions could be drawn from it.”  The product was later promoted on The Dr. Oz Show.  Applied Food Sciences claimed the product helped consumers to lose 17.7 pounds, 10.5 percent of body weight, and 16 percent of body fat with or without diet and exercise.  If you purchased green coffee extract sold by Applied Food Sciences, please contact us.
