DJI Drone Inspire Battery Class Action Lawsuit Investigation
Investigating a class action lawsuit against DJI, the manufacturer of the Inspire drone. Inspire drones come with a LiPo battery, advertised as a “smart battery” that reports the voltage of each cell, the total lifetime charges and discharges, and the overall health and battery status. However, consumers have reported that LiPo batteries plummet in voltage output once they hit approximately 30% capacity. Some Inspire owners report that the voltage drops from 30% to 3% in a matter of seconds, which leaves the drone at risk of failing mid-air.
