Private Prison Forced Labor Class Action Investigation

Investigating a class action lawsuit on behalf of immigrants who were forced by private prisons to work for free or $1 a day. Immigration and Customs Enforcement contracts with private prisons to house immigrants as they await court appearances to determine their status or deportation. One private prison in particular, Denver Contract Detention Facility, allegedly made immigrants work for free in the prison or for $1 per day. Either arrangement is a possible violation of the federal Trafficking Victims Protection Act and other anti-slavery laws. At a minimum, this conduct is a violation of state minimum wage laws. If you are an individual, or know someone, who was forced to work for free or an extremely low wage in a private prison, please contact us.
